A hypothetical therapy case



1. Create a hypothetical therapy case that involves (an elderly husband who has sought therapy because his wife has diagnosed Alzheimer’s and cannot deal with her. He stated the wife also has mentioned the grandson is physically and verbally abusive. The husband has not witnessed this. )
2. Include the relevant details of the case. (1 Page) specifics of the case, what, when, how, how often, etc.
3. Explain why this case presents an ethical issue related to mandate reporting in the state of (Alabama)
4. Explain whether you would report the situation and why.
5. Explain how you would negotiate the intended and unintended consequences of your decision to report or not.
6. What additional ethical considerations relevant to mandated reporting apply to this case.
